Crockett County—Crockett County 4-H members earned top honors across multiple categories during the recent District 6 Spring Roundup competition, showcasing their skills in teamwork, public speaking and consumer decision-making.

Participants brought home several awards during the event, including multiple top-three finishes in the Duds to Dazzle competition.

Crockett County earned third place in the Senior Solo division, first place in the Intermediate Team division and third place in the Junior Team division.

The county also captured first place in the Intermediate Ag and Natural Resources Educational Presentation category, where students demonstrated their knowledge of invasive species and their ability to effectively communicate technical information.

In Consumer Decision Making, Crockett County’s Intermediate team earned first place, while a senior competitor claimed first place individual honors.

“I am so proud of the hard work, preparation, and dedication shown by all of the participants,” Rebecca Taylor, county extension agent and 4-H agent, said. “These young people represented Crockett County extremely well. Their commitment and effort were evident throughout the competition, and we are proud of each one of them.”

Taylor said the success at Spring Roundup reflects not only the dedication of the students, but also the continued support provided by families, volunteers and community members throughout Crockett County.
