Sheriff’s Office reports 137 traffic stops, two arrests
Crockett County—The Crockett County Sheriff’s Office reported responding to a variety of calls and conducting 137 traffic stops during the week of Jan. 26 through Feb. 1, 2026.
Deputies handled multiple welfare checks, traffic-related incidents and motorist assists throughout the county, according to the weekly activity report.
Call summary
During the reporting period, deputies responded to:
- Livestock, wild or domestic animal complaints: 1
- 911 medical or fire calls: 6
- Civil complaints: 3
- Civil documents served: 1
- Criminal complaints, disturbances or loud noise calls: 5
- Juvenile or school-related incidents: 1
- Motorist assists or locked vehicle calls: 6
- Reckless driving or speeding complaints: 3
- Minor or major traffic accidents: 3
- Alarm calls: 0
In addition, deputies conducted 137 traffic stops.
Incident highlights
On Jan. 26, deputies were dispatched to Interstate 10 for a suspicious vehicle and a reckless driver, to Leal Street for a welfare check and to Sheffield Road for a hit-and-run incident.
On Jan. 27, deputies responded to a welfare check on Heraclio Street, a harassment report on Avenue I and assisted a stranded motorist on Interstate 10.
On Jan. 28, deputies conducted welfare checks on Avenue E and Interstate 10 and responded to a reckless driver complaint on Interstate 10.
On Jan. 29, deputies were dispatched to Couch Street for a loud music complaint, to Avenue E for a minor vehicle crash with no injuries reported, and to State Highway 163 for a child custody standby.
On Jan. 30, deputies responded to an injured animal on State Highway 137, a welfare concern on Bessente Street and a reckless driver complaint on Interstate 10.
On Jan. 31, deputies handled a welfare concern on Avenue J, assisted a motorist on Avenue E, responded to a suspicious vehicle on State Highway 163 and assisted citizens with locked vehicles on Santa Rosa Street and Walnut Street.
On Feb. 1, deputies were dispatched to Interstate 10 for a motor vehicle crash. EMS, fire personnel and the Texas Department of Public Safety also responded. Deputies also investigated a hit-and-run on Avenue E, assisted multiple stranded motorists on Interstate 10 and conducted a child custody standby on State Highway 163.
Arrests
Two arrests were reported during the week.
On Jan. 26, Jasmine Jayda Nichole Guillory, of Houston, was arrested on charges of bail jumping and failure to appear—possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, and bail jumping and failure to appear—felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance. Guillory was arraigned and remained in custody.
On Jan. 30, Francia Alejandra Ontiveros, of El Paso, was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 2, between 1 and 4 grams. Ontiveros was arraigned, posted bond and was released.
All individuals listed in the Sheriff’s Report are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
